Joe Jackson's partner is a criminal

TMZ has just revealed that Joe Jackson's business partner for his new record label, is a convicted criminal.

Marshall Thompson, who Joe famously introduced during a news conference a few days after MJ's death, served 366 days in federal prison back in 2001 after pleading guilty to two counts of conspiracy to commit extortion in Illinois.

Thompson, an ex police officer, conspired with active duty officers to sell police badges for $1000-$2500 each

According to federal docs, the businessmen bought the badges so they could get the perks of being a cop -- carrying a concealed weapon, parking in restricted areas and "receiving discounts for goods and services"

Before Thompson became a felon, he was a member of the Chi-Lites -- a band famous for "Have You Seen Her" and "Oh Girl" back in the '70s.
So much drama for the Jackson family.
RIP Michael.

Whitney Houston: 'I almost quit music for good'

Whitney Houston has revealed that she was ready to quit music for good and retire last year.
The grammy award winner, who has not released any new material for six years, credited her long term friend and music mogul Clive Davis for helping her revive her stalled career.

She said: "When Clive called me, I was pretty ready to buy my island home [and retire], but he said 'No, you're going to sing again, people want to hear you'."
Houston, who split from husband Bobby Brown in 2007, told journalists at the premiere of her new LP in London: "I hope that these songs stay with you for a lifetime."

Houston's comeback album I Look to You is due for release in September.

I can't wait to hear the new material.

Peter Andre gives his first television interview

Peter Andre has just given an emotional interview for the first time on This Morning.

The singer who separated from his estranged with Katie Price aka Jordan, in May, has told presenters Philip Schofield and Fern Britton that he would never badmouth his estranged wife for the sake of their two children, Junior and Princess Tiaamii.

The Daily Mail quotes him as saying: "The kids are going to grow up and I know they are going to look back at everything. I don't want them to look back and ask 'Dad why did you say that?'""I hope people don't think that [the miscarriage] was behind our split. There's a lot of reasons why we split up. What's done is done. You've got to move on. The kids are everything to me.

"I want to speak, but I have got to think about the long term - but it can be hard. When you don't speak you only hear one side of the story." He went on to say that the couple could not complain about the public interest in their private life, saying: "It's our fault... I know I'm going to make mistakes. Sharing your life so publicly can be a mistake."

Peter has just landed a £1million record deal and is currently working on his next album.
